In this lecture, you’ll discover how Puccini’s La Bohème balances musical innovation and tradition, combining beautiful, long-breathed romantic arias in the style of Verdi with modern soundscapes in the verismo (realism) tradition. Presented by Dr. Colette Simonot-Maiello, Associate Professor of Musicology at University of Manitoba Desautels Faculty of Music.
