Volunteer Opportunities

Boutique

The Boutique is open in the lobby on performance nights: pre-show, at intermission, and post-show. Volunteers staff the Boutique, sell merchandise (opera gift items, CDs, DVDs, books, etc.), process customers’cash, debit, and credit card payments, tidy Boutique area, and help display merchandise.

Mailings

Mailings

Occasionally volunteers are needed to help with mass mail-outs. Duties include folding inserts, stuffing, and sealing, labeling and organizing envelopes.

Special Events

Special Events & Audience Development

Occasionally throughout the year, volunteers are required for special events and audience development events such as our Open House, film screenings, lectures, etc. Duties may include directing people and handing out information, registering attendants, setting up and staffing coffee reception and/or information tables.

Subscription Renewals

Patrons have the option of renewing their subscriptions each year at tables set up in the lobby during performances. Volunteers at these subscription renewal tables provide season subscription information and answer patrons’ questions, help them to complete their renewal forms, and accept payments. Training is provided.

Student Night

Student Night at the Opera

Student and educations groups attend the Dress Rehearsal of most productions. Volunteers are needed to assist with ticket pick up, boutique, monitor exhibits, assist with the set up and tear down of signage, etc.
