“Susannah”: A Conversation About Sexual Abuse in Faith Communities

Manitoba Opera hosts a conversation about sexual abuse within faith communities, a theme that is part of the central conflict of the opera Susannah.

Panelists for this discussion include:
Kelly Bernardin-Dvorak, Family Therapist, Jonah Counseling & Consulting
Jaymie Friesen, Abuse Response and Prevention Coordinator, Mennonite Central Committee Manitoba
Stan McKay, Cree Elder from Fisher River Cree Nation
John Neufeld, Lead Pastor, The Meeting Place

Discussion moderator: Carolyn Klassen, Therapist, Conexus Counseling

This conversation will take place on Wednesday, November 13, starting at 7:00 PM, at the Manitoba Museum Auditorium, Lower Level, 190 Rupert Ave.
The discussion is expected to run about 60 minutes, with time afterwards for Q&A with the panelists.
This event is free and open to the public. Advance registration is required, as this event is expected to fill up.
