La Cenerentola: A Mid-Century Modern Fairy Tale

Presented by Set Designer/Director of Production, Sheldon Johnson and Jason Robbins, Architect MAA, FRAIC

The scenery for Rossini’s La Cenerentola, designed by MO Director of Production, Sheldon Johnson, is inspired by Mid-Century Modern (Modernist) Architecture. Through visual presentation and conversation, architecture Jason Robbins and Sheldon Johnson will discuss Winnipeg’s strong connection with the mid-century modern movement, an overview of the ideas behind this period of architecture, and insight into how the period inspired the design for our production.
