Our Mission

Changing people’s lives through the glory of opera.

About Manitoba Opera

Manitoba Opera is Manitoba’s only full-time professional opera company and serves a region that also includes northwestern Ontario, Saskatchewan, and the Dakotas.

Manitoba Opera produces two full-scale productions annually in the 2,200 seat Manitoba Centennial Concert Hall for a total of 6 performances and 2 student dress rehearsal performances.

For Manitoba Opera, being part of the community extends beyond the works presented on stage. Community engagement activities and initiatives provide context for the stage productions and demonstrate the relevance of opera to our 21st century lives.  Manitoba Opera serves the community in a variety of ways that are not directly related to a season production, but provide opportunities for a broad spectrum of people to experience opera in a wide range of forms.

Hiring Practices

Manitoba Opera is committed to achieving employment equity, therefore encourage applicants to self-declare in Cover letter if Indigenous (First Nation includes Status, Treaty or Non-Status, Metis and Inuit).
