Manitoba Opera is seeking a full-time Prospect Manager. Reporting to the General Director & CEO, the Prospect Manager’s primary responsibilities will be to identify business and individual support opportunities, collect data, coordinate fundraising campaigns, analyze campaign effectiveness, develop and maintain a donor newsletter, and provide support as required to the General Director and Development team.
This position is also responsible for the management of the VIP experience, planning/assisting with events, and selling performance and event tickets.
Candidate will have a strong knowledge of the corporate and philanthropic community; be proficient with technology, including Microsoft applications; be able to engage in relationship building at all levels of the organization; be a self-starter who can work independently; possess excellent written and verbal skills; and have a keen attention for detail and a capacity for flexibility.
Experience with research functions and fundraising software such as Raiser’s Edge or Theatre Manager, as well as working with databases are assets for this position.
A degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with a focus on business development or research is required. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
